BHP FFA competed in three State Contests in one of the largest competition events of the year for SCFFA, Fall Super Saturday, and placed in the top two in all three contests. Our Turf Grass Team placed First in the State! Team Members included Drake Henderson (1st High Individual Scorer), Alex Gillooly (2nd High Individual Scorer), Trenton Taylor (Third High Individual Scorer), and Joseph Rice. Our boys were the highest scorers in the entire competition! Our Veterinary Science Team placed Second in the State! Team Members included John Hopkins, Anna Horne, Olivia Bowen, and Taylor Kelly. Mekenzie Bright served as Team Alternate. Our Agronomy team also placed Second in the State! Team members included Daniel Guest (2nd High Individual Scorer), Judson Thomas (3rd High Individual Scorer), Joshua Babb, and Brooklyn Williamson. Turf Grass Management and Agronomy were both prepared by Mr. Latimer. This is an especially impressive accomplishment on Mr. Latimer's part, as he trained two teams at the same time and managed to prepare them well enough to place in the top two for both contests. Way to go Bears!!!
