
During the September board meeting, the following groups were recognized:
1. Induction teachers in ASD2
2. Students with a perfect score on SC ready math or ELA. Belton Elementary- Britt Clinkscales, James Creel, and Caleb Higgins; Honea Path Elementary- Cater Hayes; Wright Elementary- Spencer Holliday, Rhett Mullens, Jaxon Sullivan, and Clarissa Williams; Belton Middle -Richard Maynard; Honea Path Middle -Jaxsen Kitchen, and Eden Venturella
3. Three Board members were recognized for earning a new level of achievement from the South Carolina School Boards Association. Kurt Tavernier-Level 1, Jimmy Ouzts-Level 4, and Greg Tysl (not pictured) Level 1.

The ASD2 board of trustees recognized the following: Girls Softball State Championship Team; Teacher of the Year - Melissa Henderson; Support Staff of the Year - Janet Williamson; and Induction Teacher of the Year - Devin Keefe. Congratulations to all!





One School, One Book has officially kicked off at Belton Elementary! Every student and faculty member received the book, Stella. Each night, everyone will read a chapter.
BES was very excited to have McCall Hoyle, the author of Stella, join them to read chapter one to the students!!

Wright Elementary School embarked on an exciting adventure this week! The whole school will be reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown as part of their One School, One Book initiative.


Second grade Art students at Marshall Primary made cut outs of their own hands to showcase the positive and negative space in their art pieces.


Mark your calendars for Fields of Faith hosted by BHP FCA on Wednesday, October 9, 2024! This is a peer-to-peer event where students invite their own classmates and teammates to hear students share their testimonies, be challenged to read the Word of God, and follow Jesus Christ. They will meet on the BHP football Field from 6:30-8:00. Food will be served starting at 6:30. Contact Matt Wurst with any questions.

HPE Kindergarteners are working hard! This week, they began practicing their scissor skills by cutting fringe around the sides of the paper.

Belton Elementary students enjoyed a House Pep Rally the first week of returning to school. Every student and faculty member is in a House (team). Throughout the year, students are able to earn points for making great choices and following school expectations. The purpose of the Houses is to build community within the school and to promote positive behavior! 🟥🟩🟧⬛️🟦🟪
