The 988 Lifeline is a national effort to help people in mental health-related distress or experiencing a suicidal crisis via call, chat, or text. The 988 Lifeline provides free and confidential support to people in suicidal crisis or mental health-related distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the U.S.


On July 16, the U.S. launched a new three-digit phone number—988—an easy-to-remember way for people to connect with help and support during a mental health, substance use, or suicide crisis. People can call or text 988 to be connected to trained counselors.

Twenty ASD2 teachers participated in a 5 day Orton-Gillingham training. We are so appreciative of our teachers dedicating a week of their summer to enhance their teaching practice.

Congratulations to BHP Student Victoria Langlo! Victoria was recognized as the STATE CHAMPION in the SCFFA State Employment Skills CDE.
The Employment Skills CDE is a contest that prepares students for success in the total job interview process. They prepare a cover letter, resume, and job application for an agricultural-related job of their choosing. They also participate in an in-person interview among a panel of judges at the State FFA Convention.


Anderson School District Two hosted a Summer Reading Camp for K-3rd grade students. Each day the students engaged in personalized reading support with a certified teacher. The students also enjoyed fun afternoon activities daily and visits from guest readers from the district and community.
